Scott Hogan looks set to join Aston Villa from Brentford today
Villa are on the verge of securing a Championship record deal to bring the 24-year-old to Villa Park after missing out on Middlesbrough hitman Jordan Rhodes.
It is claimed Hogan has already arrived at Aston Villa's training ground for a medical and will finalise his £15m move today with £3m going to Hogan's former club Rochdale.
Collymore: £15m for Scott Hogan is ******* obscene
This deal will take Villa's spending to over £75m this season after already signing Henri Lansbury, James Bree, Brikir Bjarnason and Conor Hourihane.
Villa boss Steve Bruce has already signed Bury teenager Jacob Bedeau today and is also expected to capture the signing of Swansea full-back Neil Taylor.

But Collymore, who scored seven goals in 46 games for Villa, is clearly unimpressed by Villa's approach for Hogan and their spending under new owner Dr Tony Xia.
He tweeted: "£15m for Hogan (if numbers are correct) is ******* obscene and I'm massively concerned about general overspend in the last seven months."
Presumably in response to Collymore's tweet, Xia has since tweeted: "Some footballers considering themselves real professional seemed knowledgeable of running clubs but all 'HIS' clubs were in crisis anyway."
