Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored Manchester United's first against St Etienne
Manchester United, who were already 3-0 ahead after last week’s first-leg, put the tie to bed early on.
Juan Mata clipped the ball into the box and Mkhitaryan got across a defender and poked the ball home.
United almost had a second when Mata’s cross caused havoc in the St Etienne defence, and the ball ricocheted off a defender forcing Stephane Ruffier into a save.

United’s evening took a turn for the worse when Mkhitaryan was substituted off with a hamstring problem.
But the Red Devils continued to attack, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic went close with a strike that flew just over the bar.
After the break Marouane Fellaini had a chance to add a second, but he could only hack the ball into the side netting.

United went down to 10 men when Eric Bailly received a second yellow.
However, they continued to press, and Paul Pogba set up Ibrahimovic as they looked for a second, but the Swede struck wide.
The Red Devils eventually ran out of time to find a second, but they had done enough to move into the Europa League last-16.
