Southampton thumped Leicester with James Ward-Prowse opening the scoring
Last season's champions were put to the sword by a Southampton side that sparkled in the sunshine.
Saints dominated the early exchanged and made the breakthrough in the 26th minute.
Portugal star Cedric Soares glided through the Leicester defence to pull the ball back to James Ward-Prowse.
Ward-Prowse then produced a ruthless curling finish that Foxes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel could do little about.

Jay Rodriguez put Southampton 2-0 up
Leicester showed fighting spirit to win the league less than a year ago.
But any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Jay Rodriguez doubled Southampton's lead in the 38th minute.
Rodriguez tapped in from close range after Ward-Prowse's free-kick had caused havoc in the Leicester box.
Southampton continued to dominate and were denied a penalty when Christian Fuchs tugged Dusan Tadic's shirt inside the area.
But they got one with just five minutes later, which Tadic rifled into the top corner.

Southampton eased past Leicester with Dusan Tadic adding a third
One lowlight from the game for the home side was an injury to Virgil van Dijk.
The Holland international limped off holding his ankle and could now face a spell on the sidelines.
The result means Southampton climb two places to 11th in the Premier League table.
Leicester, meanwhile, are well and truly in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle.
