He accused the party of being cowardly for its decision to try and block the triggering of Article 50 by voting against a Government bill earlier this week.
Speaking in Holyrood, Mr Thomson ridiculed the nationalists’ attempts to forge its own deal in a desperate bid to remain inside the Brussels club.

The votes of one million Scots who voted to Leave were airbrushed

“Since the historic referendum result on the 23rd June last year, the immediate go-to argument from the Scottish Government has been ‘Scotland voted to Remain’,” he thundered.
“[They’ve] conveniently side-stepped the fact that the EU Referendum was a UK-wide vote – something that the Scottish Government acknowledged in their own White Paper for independence where on page 210 it states ‘if we remain part of the UK, a referendum on future membership of the EU could see Scotland taken out of the EU against the wishes of the people’.”
As a whole, Scotland voted to Remain inside the EU during last year’s referendum.

In total, 62 per cent backed staying inside the bloc, while 38 per cent, or 1,018,322 voters, opted for Brexit.
Although Mr Thomson conceded Scotland had voted “overwhelmingly” to Remain as a whole – he lampooned the SNP for “ignoring” those who wanted to Leave.
“True to her nationalist politics, the First Minister hailed the votes of 1.6 million Scots who voted to Remain as representing Scotland’s voice,” he continued.

“Meanwhile, the votes of one million Scots who voted to Leave were airbrushed out of the picture altogether.
“The First Minister did not even stop to consider that among the Leave voters, who are now being deleted from Scotland’s national story, there were thousands of her own supporters," he concluded.

Nicola Sturgeon has repeatedly called for Scotland to remain within the EU
The SNP leader repeatedly railed against June’s historic referendum result – threatening to launch a new bid to break up Britain to protect the “benefits” of staying within the union.
She hinted another independence vote could be on the cards within “the next few weeks” if Theresa May did not back her plan for a bespoke deal to remain in the single market.
But, senior EU official Jacqueline Minor slapped down Ms Sturgeon, telling her an independent Scotland would have to follow the usual accession process joining a list of candidate countries including Serbia and Bosnia.
"Were Scotland to become independent, they would join that list,” Ms Minor said.
