Fans of the BBC cooking show flooded to Twitter to share their repulsion at the giant creature that award-winning guest chef Nieves cooked for The Saturday's Una Healy and chef Anna Haugh.
Una looked nervous, admitting that octopus was probably one of her food "hells" as Nieves began to prepare it, putting it whole into boiling water.
The octopus recipe with mojo verde sauce didn't impress people watching at home either, with several fans calling it "vile".

"Is anyone not repulsed by the octopus on #SaturdayKitchen," one Twitter user asked.
One viewer said that the octopus boiling on the show was making them feel nauseous, while another added: "#SaturdayKitchen sorry but that octopus is disgusting, turning over until this segment is over!"
A further unimpressed social networker observed: "Una looks like she's about to vomit," while another said that she looked "frightened knowing that squid is coming her way".
Nieves, who is the executive chef at renowned Spanish tapas restaurant Barrafina, served up the controversial octopus to Anna and Una with potatoes, artichokes and lots of olive oil, admitting: "I go through 10 litres of olive oil in Barrafina daily."

The octopus recipe had viewers slamming the segment
Una seemed to put on a brave face to try the dish, even managing to say that she was "looking forward to this" even though she was unsure at first.
"That's really nice," she said after tasting it, prompting host Matt Tebbutt to say: "You've had some bad fish experiences haven't you," as she appeared to tuck in.
However, a little later eagle-eyed viewers pointed out that the guests still hadn't eaten much of it, with one person tweeting: "They haven't even touched that dish!"
