Host Matt Tebbutt, 43, initiated confusion and anger among fans of the BBC cooking programme this morning when he introduced the show live from the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show instead of its usual home in the studio.
He was joined by Radio One presenter Scott Mills, 43, in the idyllic outdoor setting as he set about cooking up a range of delicacies using a grill and barbecue, shaking up the usual kitchen-based format.
"NO WHAT IS THIS?" asked one viewer, while a second blasted: "Saturday Kitchen Live has gone rogue. THIS IS BULLS**T!"
Another criticised the episode, saying: "This #SaturdayKitchen is painful. Awful guests and disjointed. Not good."

Later in the show, the new setting caused even more issues as Matt announced that this week there would be no omelette challenge, a regular segment which sees guest chefs compete to whip up the best omelette in under a minute each week.
"There's no omelette challenge today, sadly," Matt stated, as the gathered crowd let out a sigh of disappointment. "Aw," he added. "Instead, we're setting the chefs a barbecue sauce challenge."
One fan was appalled at the change, which appeared to be out of necessity due to the equipment that the Saturday Kitchen team could access on location.

Fans took to Twitter to blast the show
However others liked the refreshing shake up
"NO OMELETTE CHALLENGE??? THIS IS CRAZYTOWN," they tweeted. "I'm writing to my MP."
Some viewers at home seemed to find the special edition of the programmer refreshing, however, with one commenting: "Be fun if #SaturdayKitchen came from a different location each week. And the wine expert stayed in the studio."
"@SaturdayKitchen should've done this years ago," another chipped in. "Move around like #grandtour."
Saturday Kitchen airs Saturdays at 10am on BBC One.
