Samsung could be set to provide both new devices with this amazing feature
The Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is now just days away.
With Samsung set to reveal all on its new flagship device at an event in New York next Wednesday, anticipation is continuing to build.
The Galaxy S8 is due to sport a completely revamped design, with all physical buttons removed to the rear of the device, as well as some seriously intelligent new software.
Now, it seems that the device will also come with one of the most intelligent new features set not just for Samsung’s new device, but the upcoming iPhone 8 as well.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will get a dramatic new design, with no buttons, and an edge-to-edge display
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to feature an all-new look, with the company reportedly set to make major changes to its new device.
The device is set to come with an 5.8in Quad HD OLED display that should be brighter and more colourful than any Samsung device to have come before.
The display will also be curved on one side, to allow the device to show off notifications and alerts without crowding your home screen.
Samsung is also rumoured to be launching a 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED display model, marketed as the Galaxy S8 Plus.

But now it seems that the Galaxy S8’s screen will also represent a major step forward, thanks to a breakthrough from the company’s Samsung Display arm.
Reports have claimed the company is working on a new display with built-in pressure-sensitive technology similar to Apple’s 3D Touch.
According to South Korean news site The Investor, Samsung showed off the technology at Mobile World Congress last month to select VIPs, suggesting it is now at a significantly advanced stage of development.
This means that the intelligent new display may yet be bundled with the Galaxy S8, although the report claims that the next Samsung device will only feature the new technology in its virtual home button.
Instead, the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phablet, reportedly set for release in the summer, will be the first device to sport the technology in its full build.
It will then also appear in the iPhone 8 later this year.

Apple iPhone 8 will debut a brand-new all-glass look, with a curved OLED display and no physical Home Button
Apple has engaged a number of different manufacturers to build the displays for its iPhone devices over the years, and now it seems Samsung could be the next to benefit from this lucrative market.
The company first introduced 3D Touch with the iPhone 6S in 2015, with the feature allowing users to carry out different actions depending on how hard they press on their device’s screen.
The iPhone 8 is set to feature a number of new developments and additions, with the removal of the physical home button rumoured to be one of the biggest changes.
Doing so would allow Apple to increase the size of the iPhone 8’s screen to an even bigger size, with virtual buttons that are able to change depending on the app or situation taking its place.
