The explosives were reported in the Seocho district in the Greater Gangnam Area – home to the international tech firm’s IT and electronics operations.

Samsung are yet to respond to requests for comment, but the building’s support centre confirmed the evacuation was not a drill.
A spokesperson said: “The current situation is a real situation”.
A police response team is on the scene, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency have confirmed.

A reporter on the scene tweeted: "SouthKorea police say sent response team to a Samsung Group building in southern Seoul in response to report of explosives.
"It's not actually clear if there is an actual explosive at the building, which is in southern Seoul. Financial affiliates located there."
