Sadio Mane is expected to be ruled out for around eight weeks
Sadio Mane was forced off with a knee injury in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby last weekend.
Reports yesterday suggested the 24-year-old faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines as he requires minor surgery.
And the Senegal international seems to have confirmed the severity of the injury by posting an image of himself on instagram wearing a leg brace.

The winger, however, seemed in good spirits, accompanying the photo with the caption: "God thank you for everything."
Mane is expected to be out for around eight weeks, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
The injury is understood to be a damaged meniscus in his left knee and the Reds are waiting for 24 hours before following through with surgery.

When asked this week if Mane's season was over, Jurgen Klopp said: "Unfortunately that’s possible.
"When a knee is swollen, it’s not often I hear afterwards that it’s nothing.
"We have to wait a little bit until the knee is not that swollen anymore."
