Senegal were knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations by Cameroon in heartbreaking fashion last night.

With neither side able to find a breakthrough after extra-time, the game was decided on penalties and Mane was left in tears after missing the crucial penalty.

The 24-year-old was inconsolable after Vincent Aboubakar's penalty sent Cameroon into the semi-final.

But Mane will now be rushed back to Anfield in time to play in a crunch game in the title race against Chelsea on Tuesday.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group have arranged a private jet to bring the forward back.

Liverpool were unbeaten in six before Mane left to play for his country, but Jurgen Klopp's side have since won just once in their previous seven games.

The Reds have been knocked out of both the EFL Cup and FA Cup and face a must-win game against Chelsea if they have any hopes of winning the Premier League this season.
