Tottenham want to sign Ross Barkley by the end of next week
Ross Barkley has been tipped to leave Everton this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.
The midfielder has not agreed new terms at Goodison Park and was a notable absentee from the club's pre-season trip to Tanzania this week.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for the England international over the last few weeks.
And according to The Mirror, Spurs are keen to complete a deal by the end of next week, before they jet off to America.
Tottenham are offering £30m for Ross Barkley – Everton want £50m
The north London club want Barkley's future tied up in time for their first pre-season game against Paris Saint-Germain in Orlando next Sunday.
However, they are not willing to match Everton's £50m valuation and are offering just £30m.
Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly spoken to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and told him Barkley is his No1 target.
And the club should have little trouble completing the deal financially after offloading Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50m.

Speaking about Barkley's future at Everton this week, Ronald Koeman said: "At the moment it is not a clear situation.
"He is not fit, that's the reason he didn't travel with the team.
“We will see when he is fit and back, but everybody knows his situation, and we will see what will happen.”
Barkley made 39 appearances last term for the Toffees, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in all competitions.
