Rocket League PS4, PC and Xbox One players will see the return of the eSports season soon
For those Rocket League PS4 and Xbox One players who think they’ve got what it takes to compete, the North American and European regions can register to compete in the Open Qualifier on the Official RLCS Website starting February 9, 2017
Eight teams from each region (16 total) will continue on in League Play and will have the chance to win the largest prize pool in Rocket League esports history – a grand total of $300,000.
Season 3 will also play out a little differently by opening up the eSports event to players from Oceania for the first time to compete with their North American and European rivals.
Psyonix has confirmed that registration for Oceania will begin a bit later than NA and EU, with additional details on this region's competition to be announced in the next few weeks.
For fans who want to tune in, the first RLCS broadcast of Season 3 will kick off with a North American Open Qualifier finale at 12:00pm PST/ 3:00pm EST on Saturday, March 11 followed by the finale of the European Open Qualifier on Sunday, March 12 at 9:00am PDT/ 12:00pm EDT.

Psyonix are also adding a brand new RLCS weekly talk show to season 3 that launches in mid-March, with more details set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
It follows the event of the The Rocket League Championship Series Season Two Grand Finals in Amsterdam, which saw
Flipsid3 Tactics battle their way back from the Lower Bracket to defeat Mockit Aces in back-to-back best-of-seven sets.
It follows news that a representative from Psyonix looked to be opening the door to Rocket League joining the Nintendo Switch games list.

“We are excited as you are regarding the release of Nintendo Switch however, we don’t have enough information at this time if it will happen,” Psyonix wrote.
“For the mean time, let’s both keep our fingers crossed that it will. For all the latest information on upcoming releases, updates, and other news, please visit the Rocket League Facebook page or follow us on Twitter!”
However, since this information surfaced, a Psyonix representative has clarified the situation by saying this came directly from a customer support rep from an outside vendor, meaning that the quotes hold little water officially.
It makes sense that Psyonix would be interested in launching Rocket League on the Nintendo Switch, as long as it sells enough units this year.
