The defender also noted how much the Foxes have been missing last season’s star man N'Golo Kante.

France international Kante moved to Chelsea in the summer for £30million after he lifted the Premier League trophy with Leicester.

Huth was forced to admit that Kante is one of the main reason’s Leicester have failed to live up to last season's high standards.

In an honest assessment on Football Focus, the 32-year-old insisted the reason the Foxes currently sit in 16th in the Premier League is their own fault.

Meanwhile, Huth admits Leicester have simply not been good enough.

He said: “In quite a few games we have deserved to lose. It was more of a case ‘we were rubbish today’.

Jose Mourinho looked happy has he left the Lowry this morning

“It’s thin lines in sport if you’re confident and you win a game you roll it over week after week after week, obviously the more you win, the more confident you get.

“It is what it is, we are two points above the drop, you know there’s no if no buts.

“At the moment, we are struggling with relegation.”

Leicester face Manchester United at home on Sunday after losing 1-0 away to Burnley on Tuesday evening and currently sit two points above of the relegation zone.
