
The American actor – who is currently starring in medical drama Code Black – revealed he spends a lot of time behind the screen as he does on screen.
The 52-year-old confessed he knows “absolutely everything” about what’s going on in the world but it hasn’t all been beneficial.
Speaking to Radio Times, he said: “I tend to watch a lot of news on television, but I’m trying to break the habit. I don’t think all this news is good for me, especially in the current political climate.

The married father-of-two doesn’t just watch the news and revealed his guilty pleasures are watching “Ancient Aliens, Finding Bigfoot and America’s Most Haunted”.
The six time Golden Globe nominee has had a TV and film career spanning four decades and is now playing military Doctor Ethan Willis in Code Black.
The CBS show is based on the award-winning documentary of the same name and it focuses on the fictional Angels Memorial Hospital.

It follows the staff in an extremely busy emergency room as they cope with an increasing amount of patients and limited resources which results in a code black.
Despite having to deal with a lot of blood and gory operations, Rob says he is “pretty good” with it unlike his make-up and hair stylist.
He continued: “They won’t come near me when I have fake blood on me. In one episode, we do an emergency caesarean. When we screened it, the audience gasped. It looks exactly like it is. I have seen the real thing – I have two kids and one of them was by caesarean.”
