Leicester star Riyad Mahrez is leaving the Foxes this summer
The 2015-16 PFA Player of the Year has told the Foxes he wants to leave, with a number of big clubs ready to test the waters.
But Leicester’s owners are ready to play hardball and tell any suitors they can forget trying to land Mahrez at a bargain price.
The Thai Srivaddhanaprabha family felt they looked after the 26-year-old 12 months ago when they gave him a new £100,000-a-week four-year deal to reward him for the part he played in the club winning the Premier League title in 2016.
His league form last season was indifferent but he played a big part in Leicester’s run to the last eight of the Champions League.

Paris St-Germain and Monaco would head the field of teams prepared to take the player back to French football, with Arsenal the front-runners in England.
They were keen last summer and Arsene Wenger now armed with cash, may rekindle that interest.
Meanwhile, Craig Shakespeare looks set to be named as Claudio Ranieri’s permanent successor as manager despite Leicester dragging their feet.
Mahrez has made 122 appearances for the Foxes since joining in 2014 and scored 30 goals.
