When is Riverdale season 2 out?
The insanely popular Netflix series has been so successful, executives renewed it for a second season halfway through its first run.
No date has been specified yet but showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa already teased the very first episode.
In a surprise tweet he posted a script draft for the premiere episode titled: “Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying”.
His tweet said: “Here we go. Season Two of #Riverdale is officially underway! Are you ready?”
How many episodes will Riverdale season 2 have?
The first season of Riverdale had a weekly run of 13 episodes and the second season is currently billed for another 13.
Earlier in May, Spoiler TV reported that the second season was given a production date between June 22 and April 1, 2018, which could mean a full run in Autumn next year.

Season one of Riverdale ended on a dark note when a masked man gunned down Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) in front of his son Archie (K.J. Apa).
When Mr Aguirre-Sacasa teased the season premier he gave a way a few hints about how the season will kick off.

The photo he tweeted showed an upturned chocolate milkshake in a pool of blood, suggesting the season will pick up right where it ended – with Fred Andrews being shot.
K.J. himself revealed that the story is going to get dark for its characters.

“[Archie] wants vengeance, pretty much," K.J. told TVGuide.com. "I believe he's going to go to all ends to get to the bottom of it.
“We're going to see a really different side to him."
Riverdale which by all standards is already pretty grim and weird, could get even “darker and stranger”, according to Cole Spouse.

Cole, who plays Archie’s best friend Jughead Jones, told TV Line that the new season will rely heavily on everything that fans loved in the first.
“I think the whole show is going to be getting darker and stranger,” he said.
“We’re going to be leaning into a lot of those qualities that a lot of people ended up loving in the first couple of episodes — this heavy cinematography, this overbearing coloration, this really dark content that’s kind of over-the-top and campy, but it’s taken very seriously.”
The very last scene fans saw of Jughead, was him accepting a leather vest from the Southside Serpents – a criminal motorcycle gang ran by his father.
