Police are patrolling England's football ground amid heightened security
HUNDREDS of police officers are at Wembley Stadium this evening as England's football team play Lithuania.
And US style SWAT team vehicles are patrolling the grounds as officers are present outside of the world famous stadium that has a capacity crowd of 90,000.
The terror alert in Britain continues to be severe amid last week's attack in Westminster.
The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan was present as a minute's silence was observed by crowds of football fans who have paid up to £55 per ticket for the game.
Fans were warned that they should expect bag searches and other security measures as officials took extra time to allow supporters into the grounds.
