Rick Parfitt's widow Lindsay has claimed the Status Quo rocker has left her nothing in his will
After it was reported that there was still a cloud of uncertainty over who would be named in the Status Quo star's will, Lyndsay has told of how her husband changed his will just five days before he passed away on Christmas Eve.
Depite amassing a huge fortune over his 50-year career, Lyndsay – who lives with the couple's two children Lily and Tommy, as well as her elderly mother – will now have to watch their heavily-mortgaged family home go up for sale.
Breaking her silence for the first time, the widower told the Mail on Sunday: "I've been such an idiot. Looking back at the way he lived I think I was a fool to think I could tame the wild man of rock, as he was known.
Lindsay has had to put the couple's home on the markey
I've been such an idiot.
"I let him get away with a lot. He had this amazing childlike quality about him which was very endearing. He also had an off-the-wall sense of humour. It feels like such a betrayal."
She added: "He always said his children were his priority and that they would always be looked after, but not he's left it so that the roof over their heads could be taken away. I long to ask him why he has done this, but of course I can't."
The couple had been living separately in Spain for two months after he ended their relationship, though they appeared on relatively amicable terms as they continued to eat breakfast together every morning and had even planned to spend Christmas with their children.
Lyndsay claimed the she and the late guitarist had even spoken about "getting back together" as she revealed that she had "never stopped loving him".
Lindsay claimed the rocker had problems with his spending and even hid a Bentley from her
She went on to divulge that executors of Rick's will were hounding her before the musician's body was laid to rest just over a week ago, and asked her to hand over all of her husband's personal possessions, including a guitar, photographs and his prized OBE medal.
Despite the couple starting up an estate agency, Lyndsay has said that the business is suffering because of Spain's property crash and she has been left with a £600,000 mortgage on the £1.3 million home they purchased a few years ago.
The daughter of a bank manager, Lyndsay alleged that the Rockin' All Over the World hitmaker's spending ended up "out of control", with Rick even secretly buying a Bentley for his visits to Britain and leaving it at a friend's house.
