Richard Levi has been taken away in an ambulance after getting hit on the head
Levi was hit on the head and lunch was called three balls early as he was given attention and eventually taken away in an ambulance.
Levi appeared to be in discomfort after taking a heavy blow from a Josh Tongue delivery.
“Hope Richard Levi gets the best possible care and makes a swift recovery after being struck on the head,” wrote Paul Frame on Twitter.
Northants are 181/4 and trail Worcester by 15 and play will resume after lunch.
“Richard Levi has taken a heavy blow to the head off a Josh Tongue delivery and is in a really bad shape. Umpires have called lunch,” Matt Wright posted on Twitter.
“Richard Levi has retired hurt on 28 meaning Adam Rossington joins Rob Keogh after lunch on 181-4 trailing by 15,” Northants tweeted.
Worcester added: “Levi on his way to hospital in ambulance. Rossington replaces him for when play resumes after lunch.”
