The 47-year-old broadcaster walked off after star Connor McIntyre, who plays villain Pat Phelan, failed to turn up for an interview.
He was standing by a bus stop with actress Sue Cleaver, who portrays Eileen Grimshaw, as they waited for him to arrive.
When it looked like the soap star was a no-show, Richard look annoyed and exited, leaving Sue, 53, by herself.
Richard also shared a picture of himself and Sue looking thoroughly annoyed as they sat at the Weatherfield bus stop waiting for Connor.
The image, which he posted to his 147,000 Twitter followers, featured the caption: “Waiting for @connor9mcintyre .@itvcorrie with @Sue_Cleaver – join us @GMB at 820 #coronationstreet #corrie #GMB.”
Luckily, Connor eventually turned up and was interviewed by Richard about Phelan and Eileen’s upcoming nuptials in the soap.
This is not the first time Richard has stormed off Good Morning Britain in dramatic fashion, following a spat with Piers Morgan he walked out of the studio.

Nevertheless both actors remained tight-lipped about whether Eileen would end up going through with the wedding to the dastardly character.
Phelan has been causing chaos on Coronation Street since his return last year but has managed to keep his evil deeds under wraps from his bride-to-be Eileen.
However, there have been suggestions that it could be the end of the road for Phelan, who has been blackmailing Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth).
