How much do footballers have to play in order to afford their supercars?
Footballers often have a fleet of supercars in their garage, funded by huge wages and plenty of time on their hands.
However, there are also the rare athletes who prefer a more modest mode of transport, despite earning millions in just a couple of weeks.
Carspring have conducted a survey into footballers and their cars, identifying how many minutes are necessary for a player to pay off their main vehicle’s value.
The study covered 255 players, with exactly 100 being able to pay off the value of their car within the time it would take to play one game.
Forwards and midfielders opt for sportscars while defenders tend to favour more robust vehicles
There are several interesting findings from the study, including the fact that a player’s position affects the type of car they drive – forwards and midfielders tend to choose sports cars while their defensive team-mates opt for more sturdy transport.
