Manchester United and Chelsea are expected to put up a stern fight to keep their world-class goalkeepers.

But Zinedine Zidane has his sights set on upgrading from Keylor Navas at the Bernabeu.

Spain international De Gea almost joined Madrid in 2015 but late paperwork saw him stay and commit his future at Old Trafford.

Madrid are prepared to make an offer worth £60million to land De Gea

Meanwhile, ex-Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Courtois has outlined his desire to return to Spain one day, with his family still living there.

According to The Sun, Madrid are prepared to make an offer worth £60million to land De Gea, who is slightly preferred by president Florentino Perez.

However, Chelsea's Courtois remains a key target too, with a £50m fee touted.

Both Premier League keepers could apparently push for a switch if neither the Blues or United budge.

And 24-year-old Courtois is already said to have put out feelers via his representatives to get a move to Madrid in motion.

Chelsea deny their Belgium international is looking to leave, with a title in reach this season at Stamford Bridge, but Courtois does have ties to Spain's capital.

Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho won't want to sell either player, but Madrid are ready to spend big and break the world-record transfer fee for a goalkeeper.
