Lee Wallace: Mark Warburton should hand Kenny Miller a new deal at Rangers
Miller kept the team’s Scottish Cup dream alive with a late double to sink Motherwell 2-1.
Wallace feels the 37-year-old striker is the perfect role model for the Light Blues youngsters, with the manner he conducts him off the pitch and the way he performs on it.
Miller’s contract is up at the end of the campaign and he has yet to receive an offer of an extension.
Wallace reckons Miller is the perfect role model for Rangers' youngsters
Wallace said: “This can sound like the old pals’ act with me saying we need to keep Kenny long-term, but it’s far from that. As long as we keep Kenny Miller at this club we’ll continue winning games and hopefully bring success back to the club.
“We’re going to do better as a club if he stays here. Our young players can develop and learn from him and speak to him every day – and I put myself in that bracket.
“It is hugely important we keep him – that’s my strong feeling.

“It’s great and it’s something for all of us to look up to and aspire to.”
