Newcastle want to re-sign Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace
Newcastle sold Townsend to Palace last summer after the London club triggered his £13m release clause.
Toon boss Rafa Benitez is desperate to re-sign the England international to help boost his side’s promotion push.
And the MailOnline say Benitez is adamant Newcastle should pay Palace what they want for Townsend, which is a £2m loan fee plus £13m to sign him permanently should they earn promotion.

Townsend has made 25 appearances for Crystal Palace since moving south.
But Benitez wants to bring him back to the North East and will hope to get a deal over the line before tomorrow’s 11pm transfer deadline.
“I don’t think it will change too much in terms of the transfer window,” Benitez said.

“We have to do our job before [the deadline] – one extra day shouldn’t make too much of a difference.
“We have our targets, but we don’t know if we can get them.
“The timing does not change anything.”
