Wayne Rooney broke Manchester United's goalscoring record last week
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney scored his 250th club goal against Stoke last weekend to go one ahead of Sir Bobby Charlton’s record.
Rooney, 31, has been linked with a move away from United after a below-par season at the club.

But Dublin believes the England captain has proven his worth over the duration of his career.
Asked on Football Focus if he thought Charlton’s record would be broken, Dublin said: “Never. But Wayne’s done it.
“What people don’t realise is that when you’re playing football there is pressure on you to perform all the time.

“But from 16 years old, for him to be in that bubble of football. He’s had to perform.
“He’s been a superstar since the age of 19.
“And to continue to score goals at the highest level under so much scrutiny by people who try to stop you scoring goals every single game is a huge achievement.
“In 200 games shorter than Sir Bobby Charlton did.”
