Sony rules out PS4 backwards compatibility
PS4 owners will be disappointed to hear that Sony has ruled out backwards compatibility on the console.
Fans hoping for a big backwards compatibility reveal at E3 2017 will have to wait at least another year according to Sony's Jim Ryan.
Despite the popularity of the feature on Xbox One, Ryan believes it's not used very often.
"When we’ve dabbled with backwards compatibility, I can say it is one of those features that is much requested, but not actually used much," he told Time.
"That, and I was at a Gran Turismo event recently where they had PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games, and the PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?"
Elsewhere, it was revealed that PSVR has sold more than 1 million units and that PS4 sales are closing in on 60 million.

Some people have also suggested that the Sony PlayStation 4 E3 2017 showcase could feature a big surprise from the team behind Dark Souls.
A Bloodborne 2 announcement has been predicted ahead of E3 2017.
Commenting on a NeoGAF thread, entitled “Do you think we’ll see Bloodborne 2 at E3?” Moon Studios’ Thomas Mahler left a pretty interesting reply. “I'm 99% certain we'll see it,” he wrote.
Either way, it will be an interesting show.
