PS4 news PlayStation Plus update, Fallout 4 PS4 Pro reveal and Conan Exiles release prospects
The official PlayStation Plus February 2017 lineup has been revealed and means that fans only have until late tomorrow to grab whatever January titles they still haven’t claimed.
Sony have confirmed that the PlayStation Store will be refreshed on Tuesday, February 7, meaning that this month’s six PS Plus games split across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita will be launched on that date.
For those who have fallen asleep this month it means there are less than 48hrs to grab Day of The Tentacle Remastered, This War of Mine: The Little Ones, Blazerush, The Swindle, Azkend 2 and Titan Souls.
After Tuesday, these games will be replaced by The PlayStation Plus February 2017 lineup, including:
- LittleBigPlanet 3 – PS4
- Not a Hero – PS4
- Starwhal – PS3, cross buy with PS4
- Anna — Extended Edition – PS3
- Ninja Senki DX – PS Vita, cross buy with PS4
- TorqueL – PS Vita, cross buy with PS4
The official Sony lineup was revealed a little later than usual due to how the last Tuesday of the month fell in January.

And fans may experience something similar at the end of this month too, with the PlayStation Store refresh set for the first Tuesday of each month, it means that fans will have to wait until March 7 for their new games to arrive.
LittleBigPlanet 3: “Available for all PS Plus members this month, this is one of the most imaginative games on PlayStation, full of platforming adventure and excitement.
“After you’ve explored the Imagisphere, flex your creative muscle and bring your own imagination to life or play one of the millions of original creations from the LBP Community.”
Not a Hero: “Play as Steve, a professional assassin turned amateur campaign manager as he cleans for his boss, an anthropomorphic rabbit and mayoral candidate from the future named Bunny Lord.
“Run, jump, shoot, and cut your way through this white-knuckle campaign.”
Fallout 4 is FINALLY getting its PS4 Pro patch next week, along with mods changes.
Bethesda has announced plans to release new updates for Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4, both of which will improve mods and make the game worlds even better looking than before.
The highlight for PS4 Pro users is a patch that provides enhanced lighting and graphic features, but not 4K resolution.
It should also be noted that Fallout 4 update 1.9 is actually currently available to download on PC as part of the usual Steam beta program.
The Fallout 4 PS4 Pro patch includes the following enhancements:
- Native 1440p resolution
- Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs
- Enhanced Godray effects
That's on top of new mod features announced by Bethesda that's coming to both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition.
"Next week, we’re rolling out new updates for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC," reads a Bethesda post. "Both games are bringing new features to Mod content (more on that next week)."
The Conan Exiles PS4 version is a project that developers Funcom are hoping to take on the future but just how likely is it to get off the ground?
Funcom told fans during a recent Reddit AMA session that they are not ready to discuss a PS4 version of the game as they are still busy preparing to launch it on Xbox One.

Conan Exiles is currently available on PC early access
They have also stipulated that they do not believe Conan Exiles will be in Early Access for over a year, meaning that they could switch their attentions to a PS4 version by the end of 2017.
However, Funcom do hope to launch on PlayStation 4 eventually, telling fans on Reddit: "Yes, eventually. Our focus is PC, then Xbox Game Preview to launch in spring and then PS4 sometime afterwards."
One of the barriers leading to just Conan Exiles on Xbox One and PC being announced is that the PS4 platform has in the past not allowed for early access projects to be released on its platform.
This recently changed with the introduction of ARK: Survival Evolved, which could prove great news for those excited about Conan.
There is the chance that Conan Exiles could arrive before its full release if it has reached a certain point in its development cycle.
However, it’s unclear if PlayStation now decide if projects can launch on a case-by-case basis, or if the release of ARK was just a one-time deal.
