PS4 news: Call of Duty 2017, PS4 VR and No Man's Sky
While there has been a lot of talk about the next addition in the COD franchise, a big PS4 boost is coming for the Call of Duty 2017 title currently available.
Soon, players will have Call of Duty Infinite Warfare DLC 2 to play, along with the Zombies expansion mode included.
Like past bundles, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare DLC 2 will have four new multiplayer maps, as well as a fresh zombies co-op experience called Shaolin Shuffle.
The new Call of Duty Zombies experience is set in a ‘70s era New York disco-zombie fright fest, following on from its earlier movie-themed eras shift.
Continuum is scheduled for release April 18th, first on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 4, with other platforms to follow.
“We couldn’t be more excited to deliver a new co-op zombies chapter with Shaolin Shuffle, with an all-new setting and story, that continues the wild and increasingly twisted narrative,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward.
“For multiplayer, we’re creating a diverse set of maps from Turista and Scrap, to Archive, that cater to various play styles in cool ways and allow fans to experiment with different rigs and loadouts.
“And then there’s Rust, one of our all-time favourite maps from Modern Warfare 2, re-imagined and now called Excess to complete the multiplayer package.”
Shaolin Shuffle features the return of Willard Wyler, the mysterious movie director villain portrayed with voice and likeness by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham).

Wyler has trapped the four protagonists inside a new horror film, set in the 1970s, with players facing all-new zombie enemies across a variety of disco-era New York locations, including subways, flashy nightclubs and a martial arts dojo.

New characters include the “Shaolin Sister,” played with voice and likeness by Pam Grier (Jackie Brown, Foxy Brown). In addition to hallmark Call of Duty action, Shaolin Shuffle introduces four unlockable kung-fu fighting styles, each with its own set of unique combat moves.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is launching next month and new images and videos have been released in anticipation for the new game’s launch.
Developed specifically for VR, Star Trek: Bridge Crew aims to immerse fans in the Star Trek universe.
Players on PS4 VR, Oculus Rift and VIVE will have the chance to explore a largely uncharted sector of space known as The Trench with your friends on board of the USS Aegis.
In co-op, crews of up to four players can be formed to serve in the roles of Captain, Helm, Tactical or Engineer.
And having played the new title, it’s safe to say we think it’s one of most intriguing VR games being released on that platform.
Having the chance to fly around in a crew and needing to fulfill a specific role to make sure everything works according to plan, Bridge Crew offers an experience that can be very sociable.

It’s also a VR game that shouldn’t make many people feel motion sickness, as there is no need to get out of your seat on the bridge.
Ubisoft recently confirmed that the original U.S.S. Enterprise bridge will be playable in the Ongoing Voyages mode, which generates randomised missions for countless hours of solo and co-op adventure.
“We felt it was important to include a part of classic Star Trek with this game, especially during Star Trek’s 50th anniversary,” said David Votypka, Senior Creative Director at Red Storm Entertainment.
New No Man’s Sky updates appear to be in the works, following the release of patch 1.24 on PS4 and PC.
Hello Games have yet to confirm when their run of Foundation Updates are set to come to end, and until then, fans can hope to see more new and missing features arrive.
The Pathfinder Update added a heap of new content, introducing planetary vehicles, base sharing, PS4 Pro support, ship/weapon specialisation, permadeath mode, and much more.
Within the patch notes for the most recent updates, Hello Games has also confirmed that they are not yet done, saying that most recent content drops “shows the path for the future”.

And the future could be pretty big if these latest job openings are anything to go by.
Known to have quite a small team, The studio are now looking to feel new jobs in their team, which hints at either more NMS expansions, or new games on the horizon.
Hello Games are currently looking for a Technical Director, Experienced Programmer, Graduate Programmer and PA & Office Administrator.
“We’re a micro studio, so we’re normally looking for people who can make games,” a message on the jobs section explains.
“We like people who can program, draw, animate and make things fun. If you are an artist who can design or programmer who can animate or whatever, then even better.
“You people are awesome, and you can wear as many hats as you want at Hello Games (current record: six).”
It’s unclear if Hello Games has enough people to both work on No Man’s Sky and start building a new project; Sean Murray hinted something was in the works following the release of the space-survival title last year.
