Charles thanked the lottery and its player for their support
The People's Postcode Lottery charity gala in Edinburgh brought together representatives from charities Charles is patron of including WaterAid, the British Red Cross, National Trust for Scotland and WWF UK.
They are among a group to have benefited from £2 million donated by the People's Postcode Lottery in recent years.
Charles, known as the Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland, attended a reception to thank the lottery and its players for their support, including £850,000 for projects this year across the UK.

The latest funding will help the Ready for Work Programme, helping homeless people into training and employment; In Kind Direct supporting vulnerable adults aged between 25 and 50; and the Prince's Countryside Fund, designed to improve the health and well-being of 200 socially-isolated people living in deprived rural communities.
The People's Postcode Lottery holds an annual gala to celebrate and showcase the achievements of charities supported by players.

The subscription lottery started in 2008 and offers players the chance to win a variety of prizes every day by entering their postcode into a prize draw.
It is owned by Dutch organisation Novamedia, said to be the world's third largest private charity donor.
