Which Premier League stars are closest to picking up 15 yellow cards and a ban?
The Premier League employs a complicated set of suspension rules to govern the behaviour of players throughout the season, with a yellow card deadlines placed periodically throughout the campaign.
The most recent cut-off fell on April 9, with players reaching 10 cautions before this date slapped with a two-match ban – Oriol Romeu and Mark Noble were the unlucky offenders this time.
From then on players can gather 10 bookings without receiving additional punishment, but if anyone racks up 15 before the end of the season they will be hit with a whopping three-match supsension.
(As a side note, the really badly behaved players who pick up 20 yellow cards in a campaign are required to attend an FA disciplinary hearing. Tut tut!)
