After sticking by her other day Ross Poldark (played by Aidan Turner) through thick and thin, it looks like there could be more rocky times ahead for Demelza's marriage to the hero when the BBC's much-loved drama returns this weekend.

In an interview with Radio Times, Eleanor explained: "Demelza has decided to stay with her husband through thick and thin with the hope he will now include her in his decision-making and they will handle everything as a team and as a power couple."
But it won't all be bliss in their marriage, she admitted, adding: "However, Ross falls slightly short of the mark and cuts Demelza out.
With poor Demelza feeling sidelined more and more as the series progresses, she turns her attention to a man in uniform as Lieutenant Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse) arrives in aristocratic glory, falling head over heels for the flame-haired beauty.
Relishing in the attention that the Lieutenant lavishes upon her in his attempts to woo her, Eleanour revealed that Demelza will struggle not to stray, saying: "Being ignored allows eyes and hearts to wander and there's so many new characters who tug on her heart."
