Pokemon Go Valentine's event update
The Pokemon Go Valentine's event kicks off at 7pm UK time today, complete with bonuses for keen Pokemon hunters.
This means that until 7pm on February 15, Pokemon Go players will receive double the amount of Candy every time players hatch, catch and transfer Pokemon. Lure modules will also last a whopping 6 hours.
But perhaps even more exciting is the fact that pink Pokemon will appear in the wild more often.
According to an official Niantic statement, this includes Chansey, Clefable, Porygon, while Pokemon like Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will have a higher chance of hatching from Eggs.
Express Online has put together a list of first generation Pokemon that you can expect to find more of during the week long Valentine's event.

Pokemon Go Valentine's event
"With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we couldn’t think of a sweeter time to double the amount of Candy you’ll earn every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon," reads a Niantic blog post.
"Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!
"Throughout the celebration, you’ll notice that Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon will be encountered more frequently in the wild. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from Eggs.
"And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event."
But it's bad news for some players, because Pokemon Go developer Niantic will need a permit to do virtual business in Milwaukee County Parks.
This latest Pokemon Go development will make it harder for players in the area to catch them all.
According to the Milwaukee Record, while the ordinance wasn’t solely directed at Pokemon Go, it could mean that Niantic will have to pay for a permit to do business in the locations listed.
The ordinance in full: “Virtual and location-based augmented reality games are not permitted in Milwaukee County Parks except in those areas designated with a permit for such use by the Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Culture (DPRC).
“Permits shall be required before any company may introduce a location-based augmented reality game into the Parks, effective January 1, 2017."
It all stems from the chaos caused by last summer's Pokemon Go launch, which saw several PokeStops removed from areas where a reported increase in people playing the game caused damage to parks.
And it could prove very damaging to Niantic if more public places follow suit.
