Pokemon Go's new update makes changes to the way eggs are hatched
Pokemon Go developer Niantic appears to have made a secret change as part of the new Valentine's event update.
And it's good news for Pokemon Go fans who have struggled to hatch certain Pokemon over 10km.
As part of the latest event, Pokemon Go players will receive double the amount of Candy every time players hatch, catch and transfer Pokemon; Lure modules will also last a whopping 6 hours and Pink Pokemon will appear in the wild more often.
But that's not all…
According to Forbes, the new Pokemon Go update also changes the whole egg hatching dynamic, which makes it easier to catch certain 5km and 10km Pokemon.
Pokemon such as Abra, Bellsprout, Cubone, Diglett, Ekans, Exeggecute, Ghastly, Goldeen, Krabby, Machop, Nidoran (both), Oddish, Seel, Slowpoke, Venonat and Voltorb are now in the 2km category, while Pinsir and Scyther have moved from 10km to 5km.
Reducing the Pokemon found in the 5km and 10km tiers makes it more likely that you'll spawn a rarity, although the extra 2km Pokemon make it even more of a lottery at the lower levels.

Pokemon Go Valentine's event
According to an official Niantic statement, Pokemon like Chansey, Clefable, Porygon will be more plentiful, while Pokemon like Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will have a higher chance of hatching from Eggs.
"With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we couldn’t think of a sweeter time to double the amount of Candy you’ll earn every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon," reads a Niantic blog post.
"Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!
"Throughout the celebration, you’ll notice that Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon will be encountered more frequently in the wild. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from Eggs.
"And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event."
The Valentine's event hasn't gone down well with all fans, many of whom were hoping for the release of Gen 2 Pokemon.
