Pokemon Go news round-up gives the inside scoop on upcoming updates
Pokemon Go developer Niantic is planning to release a major new update very soon, according to new reports.
Fans discovered lots of big new features as part of the latest update, including Evolutionary Stones, Shiny Pokemon, Gen 2 Pokemon moves and Pocket Monster form variations.
And according to the experts at Trainer Tips, the Pokemon Go update launch might much sooner than you think.
"Users on both Android and iOS are being forced to update to the latest versions,” a recent Trainer Tips video explains.
"When Niantic forces users to update, it's because they’re about to roll something out that requires you to have code and assets that are in the most recent update files.
"So that means something very big, is coming very soon. It could be Shiny Pokemon, Pokemon Genders, it could be Gen 2 Pokemon. We’ll find out soon enough."

The upcoming Pokemon Go update is expected to contain a handy newsfeed, which will make it easy to keep track of all the new features.
The Pokemon Go newsfeed is likely to give players up-to-date information and patch notes from any new updates, as well as news about Pokemon Go events.
According to the folks at The Silph Road, it will take the form of a top-level button on the in-game menu.
"It looks like a new top-level button may be coming to the in-game menu!" reads the post.
"Long overdue, a "News" section for the game is appearing in the code and appears to bring updates about the game (events, etc) in a more official, referencable format: an official news digest!"
Pokemon Go fans might be surprised to hear about the next big Pokemon Go event.
As fans wait for the release of Gen 2 Pokemon and Legendaries, new reports have suggested that Niantic is planning a special event for April Fools' Day.
According to Slashgear, the new event would see a ton of Magikarp added to the wild.
"The reasons for release on each of the events for Pokemon GO add up to some interesting conclusions. For April Fools' Day, one should look to Pokemon Medals to see what Niantic has up its sleeve," the post reads.
"The Pikachu medal became a LOT easier to attain over the past several weeks of December 2016 when Santa Hat Pikachu was made fairly common."
The Fisherman medal, on the other hand, is extremely difficult to obtain, and would take some players years to get.
It makes sense, therefore, that Niantic would give players a helping hand by making Magikarp more plentiful.
Magikarp are considered fairly useless in the world of Pokemon and are often used as a figure of fun. An abundance of Magikarp would also fit the April Fools' Day theme.

Pokemon Go 2017 Wishlist
Major Pokemon Go fixes are inbound, as the latest update causes problems for Android users.
Pokemon Go fans have taken to Reddit to complain about long loading times since downloading the newest update.
According to the Reddit message boards, Android update 0.53.1 has caused the game to pause on the home screen once the loading bar reaches 100%.
Reddit reports suggest that the game gets stuck for upwards of a minute once the loading bar fills up.
Disgruntled fans are worried that the next Pokemon Go update won't land for another 4 weeks, and that they'll miss out on catching some rare Pokemon on their travels.
