The next Pokemon Go update could be a big one
Having officially released the new Pokemon Go update on Android and Apple platforms, fans would have noticed a pretty lackluster list of patch notes, culminating in the GPS Drifting change.
However, it also appears that Niantic snuck in a lot more than they wrote down, some of which the people at the Silph Road have now datamined and decoded.
The biggest news? It appears new Pokemon forms may be added to the game next, providing Pocket Monsters with a bigger variety of traits and stats.
Here's what the Silph Road has to say on the matter: "Much has been added to enable Pokemon FORMS. In Gen 2, the Pokemon this applies to is UNOWN and its many various forms.
“We're not sure how Niantic will roll out the Unown species, but showing support for the various forms bodes well for Niantic expanding their mechanics to handle the complexity of species with different forms.”

Apart from that massive surprise, there is also references to Evolution Items that help change Pocket Monster into their next form, as well as 38 new moves, which could point to new Gen 2 Pokemon appearing in the game very soon.
Another smaller tweak spotted in the new Pokemon data is references to a new “News” section being added to the game, meaning fans may soon start getting bulletins on when special events start.
More evidence of Avatar customisation has also been spotted and according to the new info, fans can look forward to new belts, necklaces and glasses being added to the game at a later date.
Fans may have also noticed that the 11th nest migration has been rolled out by Niantic in a new Pokemon Go update.
It means that spots where you have been able to rely on finding a certain Pokemon may have now changed. One user has reported that their local Onix nest just turned into a Magikarp nest.
The Silph Road has been updated with fresh user information, so it may be worth checking in later this week to see what has changed in your local area.
“Right on time, we saw the eleventh Great Migration shaking up nest species around the world, travellers,” reads a message from the Silph dev team.
“These have now been 2 weeks apart 8 times in a row. The Atlas has been updated and all nest statuses have been reset to 'unverified' pending your reports, travellers!"
