Lucas
The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield in this transfer window.
But while he remains at the club, he is an experienced and reliable player for Jurgen Klopp to call upon and it was his header which broke the deadlock after the Reds dominated early on.
Trent Alexander-Arnold

Which Liverpool stars make John Barnes' dream team?
And once again he looked comfortable at senior level.
Liverpool were indebted to the defender for a couple of last gasp blocks.

The playmaker is key to Liverpool's hopes of success this season.
So 64 minutes of action will have been well received by the Brazilian and it was his corner which led to Lucas' goal.
He will now be hopeful of starting against Swansea on Saturday.

Liverpool's Lucas Leiva celebrates scoring their first goal with Philippe CoutinhoLoris Karius
The German was dropped last month by Jurgen Klopp following costly mistakes against Bournemouth and West Ham.
But in the subsequent cup games he has played since, the German has showed he still has something to offer.
Plymouth did not create a great deal but Karius was assured and dominated his area.
Daniel Sturridge
The England striker has struggled to command a place in Klopp's favoured starting XI.
And his performance tonight would have done him no favours at all.
He was lazy and largely ineffectual yet had the cheek to sulk at substitution as if he had produced a convincing argument to stay on.
