Paris Jackson has landed a role in a major new TV series
The 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson has just signed on to appear in Lee Daniels' show, Star, after wowing in the audition stages.
After the 57-year-old director and producer – who is behind hit shows such as Empire – teased that the two were discussing an upcoming project on Instagram two weeks ago, it seems the teen has officially won him over with her talent.
"#whenpariscomestoyou… talking talking talking," he wrote on the social networking site at the time.
Paris will star alongside Queen Latifah in new TV series Star
Sources have since told TMZ that Paris was meeting with the Hollywood heavyweight for a screen test and has now been offered a role in his new series.
The show also stars Queen Latifah, 46, and follows three women who form a music group in Atlanta.
Paris has previously hinted that she hoped to pursue a career in acting, telling The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2011: "When I was really little, my dad was in the movie Moonwalker and I knew he could sing really well but I didn't know he could act.
"I saw that and I said, 'Wow, I want to be just like him'."

Already making waves in the modelling industry, recently dazzling the crowds at Paris Fashion Week, Paris recently told Rolling Stone magazine that being in front of the camera has helped appease her insecurities.
"I've had self-esteem issues for a really, really long time," she confessed. "Plenty of people think I'm ugly, and plenty of people don't.
"But there's a moment when I'm modelling where I forget about my self-esteem issues and focus on what the photographer's telling me – and I feel pretty."
