The mistake went unnoticed by staff at the Dominican newspaper
The Dominican Republic’s El Nacional paper left readers stumped when it published a photo of the actor, captioned as the US president, alongside an image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on an article about settlements.
The photograph showed Baldwin dressed as President Trump for a skit on Saturday Night Live.
It was printed on page 19 and went unnoticed by the publication’s staff.

The paper issued an apology to its readers and “to all those who felt affected by the publication”.
Baldwin has played Mr Trump on the NBC late-night satirical show since the start of its 42nd season, in October 2016 and has drawn numerous comments and complaints from the White House.
Donald Trump regularly takes to Twitter to berate the way he is portrayed on the show, saying Baldwin’s impression of him “stinks”.
