The new Overwatch hero updates have been revealed for PTR
New PTR patch notes released today have confirmed what Blizzard plans to change during Overwatch Season 5.
The next period of Competitive Play kicked off in the early hours of June 1, BST, and will eventually include some hero revisions.
These new rebalancing tweaks have been released on the game’s Public Test Region servers.
This gives Blizzard the chance to try things out without affecting CP in Season 5.
There are a total of three Overwatch heroes being looked at by Blizzard right now, including McCree, Roadhog and Reaper.
McCree’s Deadeye is getting a major buff in attempts to make it easier to use before being killed.
Reaper is also seeing his Health Orbs removed and replaced by a new system that allows for 20% of all damage done to heroes as health.

Roadhog’s hook is getting a small nerf while his head size is being reduced, this will hopefully boost his “survivability.”
BLIZZARD ON MCCREE CHANGES: “McCree’s ultimate can deal a lot of damage if it has a lot of time to build up, but it was often too difficult to get even a small amount of damage out before being stopped or killed. These changes make it more flexible and powerful.”

BLIZZARD ON ROADHOG CHANGES: “Roadhog’s head was abnormally large compared to similarly-sized characters, so we’re reducing its size to increase his survivability. The Scrap Gun changes reduce the power of his hook combo and alternate fire burst damage potential while still keeping his DPS roughly the same.”
BLIZZARD ON REAPER CHANGES: “Reaper’s old healing passive was useful if you could kill a bunch of enemies in a row. But since enemies needed to be dead for it to work, it wasn’t very helpful unless the situation was already in your favor. His new passive lets him get immediate benefit from it, especially when fighting Tank heroes, which tend to be larger targets that deal lower damage.”
