Overwatch Uprising Comic Book
Overwatch fans have been treated to a new comic, as Blizzard goes to town on the Uprising event teasers.
It all started with a Twitter teaser featuring a video for something linked to a King's Road Uprising event that took place seven years ago.
"King's Row uprising entering into record seven years ago. Security clearance required: confidential,” reads part of the message that flashes up on screen.
This was followed by a brand new Overwatch comic book called Uprising, which explores the story behind King’s Row's omnic past.
But as game director Jeff Kaplan points out, there's more to this event than a new comic.
"We’ve heard the call that a lot of players want a non-real-world-tied event, meaning they want some sort of set event in the Overwatch world," Kaplan told PCGamesN, before confirming that the event would have a playable element.
You can take a sneak peek at the Overwatch comic below, or head over to the Overwatch website to read it in full.

Kaplan then said that Blizzard had been listening to fan feedback, before revealing that new story details would drop soon.
“The event is going to be something – when players see the event and play the event, I think they’ll see that we’ve been listening to their feedback," he continued.
“We’ve been hearing a lot of desire for more story, people want to know more about the story of Overwatch, they want to know more about the past of Overwatch.

"I think they want to know more about what’s going on between omnics and humans in this world and how did we get there. I think a lot of that will be answered for them.”
Perhaps even more interesting is a follow-up Facebook post from lead character artist Renaud Galand.
Galand claims that the Uprising update is one of the best things Blizzard has worked on since the game launched last year.
"Interesting," he writes. "I can't wait to share more of this as it is, in my opinion, one of the best thing we have worked on since launch!"
With Galand working on Overwatch heroes, maybe we'll see more of rumoured new character Doomfist.
