Olivia Newton-John revealed her cancer has returned
The Grease actress shared the devastating news with her fans in a Facebook post as she announced she has “reluctantly” postponed her tour dates.
The 68-year-old was scheduled to perform across the US and Canada in June but the star has cancelled the performances after discovering that severe back pain was the result of the disease spreading to her spine.
She will undergo treatment and is expected to return to the stage “better than ever” later in the year.

The statement read: “Olivia Newton-John is reluctantly postponing her June US and Canadian concert tour dates. The back pain that initially caused her to postpone the first half of her concert tour, has turned out to be breast cancer that has metastasised to the sacrum.
“In addition to natural wellness therapies, Olivia will complete a short course of photon radiation therapy and is confident she will be back later in the year, better than ever, to celebrate her shows.”
Olivia added: ”I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia.”
The statement concluded to say Olivia’s “focus is on her treatment and healing” and concert-goers should contact venues about refunds.

The mother-of-one initially postponed the first half of her tour in May after suffering from back pain which she thought was a long running issue with sciatica.
And last week, the singer cancelled planned meet-and-greet events with her fans due to the “severe back pain”.
The Cambridge-born star recovered from breast cancer in 1992, at the age of 43, and became a campaigner for others facing the disease as she set up the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Australia.
