The Nokia 3310 could launch on the same day as the Galaxy S8
Nokia’s all-new 3310 was announced earlier this year at MWC and this budget device looks set to cause its flagship rivals a few headaches.
The famous fun feature phone includes a new design, camera and updated version of the classic snake game.
But perhaps its biggest selling point is its never-ending battery life which Nokia claims can last around a month on a single charge.
HMD Global, who are behind the relaunch of the Nokia 3310, had revealed the Nokia 3310 would be available in Q2 of 2017 and now a report from Gadgets Now suggest it could land in pockets by the end of April and that’s bad news for some of its biggest rivals.
Carphone Warehouse has already reported record interest in the Nokia 3310 with the firm saying, "Levels of pre-registrations at Carphone Warehouse are incredibly strong.”

Nokia has relaunched the Nokia 3310 with a new look – but the same battery life
If Nokia does launch its new 3310 later this month it will arrive just as Samsung releases their new Galaxy S8 and S8+.
These stunning new flagship phones feature a giant Infinity display, faster processor and upgraded cameras.
The S8 and S8+ are available to pre-order now but they officially land in stores from April 28th.
Although this new phone is possibly one of the best devices the world has ever seen it does come with the usual flagship issue – its price.

Buying an S8 will set fans back over £650 SIM only and some contract prices are starting from £55 per month.

The Nokia 3310, however, is likely to cost less than £50 when it finally goes on sale.
Clearly, there’s many things the 3310 can’t do and the fact it isn’t compatible with WhatsApp and Facebook is a huge drawback.
According to the specifications listed on the Nokia website, the new phone will only be able to function on standard GSM frequencies between 900 MHz and 1800 MHz.
And that could prove to be a problem as a number of countries are looking to switch off their 2G networks in the coming years.
But these niggles don't appear to be putting people off and with many appearing bored of their current smartphones, the 3310 could be a huge irritation for its flagship rivals.
Speaking about their excitement over the new Nokia 3310 one reader revealed to Express.co.uk: “My smartphone is the worst thing I ever bought.
“The whole point of a mobile phone is that it is neat and fits in a bag or pocket.
“I have now gone back to a Nokia for just this purpose.
“It phones, texts and has a camera.
“I don't spend all day with the thing glued to my ear or fingers. I love it. Bye bye smartphones, I don't need you.”
