Nintendo Switch is tipped to be a big success
Nintendo Switch will be much more successful than the Wii U.
Or so says analyst Michael Pachter, who believes that the message is clearer, the Nintendo Switch games lineup is better and the price is OK.
“I think that Switch is priced OK," he told listeners of the Pachter Factor (via Nintendo Insider). "There is a lot there for the $299. It’s slightly less expensive than the Wii U was at launch.
"I think that the control scheme, the tablet, the docking station and the ability to play on [the] television is more intuitive, more kind of normal gaming controls than we had with the Wii U."
Pachter said that people were confused by the whole Gamepad business with Wii U, before predicting that the Switch would enjoy a better first year than the Wii U.

"Pricing is OK, game control scheme makes sense," he continues.
"I think the software lineup is better. I’d have to go back and look, and count the number of first-party titles that were launched with the Wii U, but it seems to me like there’s more first-party titles and a lot more third-party titles, it sounds like, that are interesting in the launch window.
"I think that Switch will probably start out better.
“Wii U sold 3.9 million units in its first year. I think Switch does about double that. I’d say around 7 million, possibly 8 million units. I think the launch in March is smart. So yes, I think better than Wii U."
As Pachter points out, only time will tell if the Nintendo Switch is a success, but it definitely looks like it will do better than the Wii U.
The Nintendo Switch games list recently hit double figures, as World of Goo, Little Inferno and Human Resource Machine all joined the games lineup.
It comes just days after Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ was announced as a Nintendo Switch launch game, which was followed by the announcement of I Am Setsuna.
