Nicky Hayden died at the age of 35 this week
Hayden was tweeted by one of his loyal fans just 24 hours before being knocked off his bike, a crash that took his life.
Italian supporter Cristina Vitali wrote: “Thanks Nicky today, you're always the number one for us. You must learn Italian and I need to learn English!”
Alongside the tweet was a picture of him posing with fans at the World Superbike Championship in Italy.
One of Vitali’s friends replied: “Nicky !!! He's so kind !!! The perfect man on earth exists and his name is Nicky Hayden.”
And Hayden took the time to reply with a witty, light-hearted tweet.
The American wrote, with a winking smiley, wrote: “I still trying to learn English.”
