Officials are investigating reports of a "suspicious package" that has been found at the airport in the south of France.
The country is currently on high alert after a series of terror-related events with the city the scene of a previous incident when a 19 tonne cargo truck was deliberately driven into crowds celebrating Bastille Day on the Promenade des Anglais which resulted in the deaths of 86 people and injured a further 434.
The airport was put on lockdown in August last year due to the discovery of a suspect package only a month after the Bastille Day atrocity.
Terminal 2 of the international airport was cleared of passengers after police were alerted to an abandoned piece of luggage.
The bag was spotted in the boarding area of Air France after two other suspect items were discovered earlier elsewhere in the terminal.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the truck attack on Bastille Day last year along the sea front of the city saying that the perpetrator Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian resident of France, had answered its "calls to target citizens of coalition nations that fight the Islamic State".
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is an international terminal just under four miles outside of the city on France’s Mediterranean coast.
The airport has two terminals with the second being the newer and larger facility with 29 gates and can handle 8.5 million passengers per year.
