Keita has been linked with a move to Liverpool ever since the transfer window opened at the beginning of this month.
They have had a £57million bid rejected for the exciting midfielder and Express Sport understands they will soon up their offer to £65million.
Ralf Rangnick, Leipzig's manager, says there is no chance they will sell Keita this summer.
But Marcotti reckons if Liverpool keep upping their offers for the Guinea international, they will prise him away from last season's surprise Bundesliga runners up.

RP Leipzig will sell Naby Keita if Liverpool match their valuation, says Gabriele Marcotti
I think Liverpool believe that Naby Keita wants to come
Gabriele Marcotti on Liverpool target Naby Keita
"I don't think Liverpool ever believed it was dead," Marcotti said on ESPN FC.
"I think Liverpool believe that Keita wants to come and they believe via intermediaries that they have an understanding of what his terms would be.
"The problem is Red Bull and Ralf Rangnick have come out and he said he does not want to sell, Keita's not for sale.

Gabriele Marcotti says Liverpool think Naby Keita wants to join them
"Does Keita go and try and force a move? No club wants to keep an unhappy player.
"There is a valuation where Leipzig are going to sell no matter what Rangnick says.
"I think they're talking £65million thus far, if it goes much north of that who knows? Or if Keita goes and kicks up some kind of a fuss.
"This is how deals get done when valuations aren't met. Leipzig are quite steadfast in saying they will not sell him."
