Nintendo Switch Multiplayer Monster Hunter XX
During this weekend's Monster Hunter Championship, it was revealed that Monster Hunter XX would have an August 25 release date on Nintendo's new console.
And it's good news for Nintendo 3DS owners, as Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter XX would support cross-platform multiplayer between 3DS and Switch.
Nintendo 3DS owners will also be able to transfer saves back and forth between the handheld version and Nintendo Switch edition.
Owners of Monster Hunter Generations on 3DS can transfer saves to Switch, although it doesn't work the other way.
According to IGN, Nintendo Switch owners can also look forward to 1080p resolution, four-person local multiplayer and online play.

The popular monster hunting game is likely to give Nintendo Switch sales another boost in Japan.
The success of the Switch has seen Nintendo share prices soar by 102% year-on-year, which has helped the company reach its highest closing level since 2010.
It's a situation that's likely to improve for Nintendo, as the company gets ready to launch its Nintendo Switch Online Service.
Similar to Xbox Live and PSN, the subscription service will net the company even more revenue, as users pay an annual fee to access online multiplayer and other bonuses.
Even though it might make it hard to get stock, more sales will lead to increased backing from publishers, which means we might see more third-party blockbusters appear on the console.
