The former Chelsea winger has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League with Liverpool set to be his next destination.
Liverpool are already said to have had a £28m bid rejected with Roma holding out for closer to £35m.
Widespread reports suggest the Reds are confident of clinching a deal for the Egypt international though, but Roma's president Jim Pallotta is remaining coy on the subject.

“In order to improve, we need four or five quality reinforcements, because we’ll be taking part in the Champions League too next year.

“This season we’ve been penalised by injuries, especially in defence. Alessandro Florenzi’s injury cost us at least four points.
“We also don’t have enough strength in depth for the attack. Edin Dzeko scored 39 goals, but if he had got injured, I don’t know how our season would’ve ended.”
Salah, who scored 15 goals in 31 league appearances for the Serie A side this season, is under contract with the Italian giants until 2019.
