Miguel Ferrer dead: George Clooney paid tribute to his cousin last night
The Hollywood heartthrob said the NCIS: Los Angeles regular "made the world brighter" as he remembered him in a moving statement.
The 55-year-old's family member, famous for his roles in RoboCop, Twin Peaks and Crossing Jordan, lost his battle with cancer while reportedly surrounded by his family.
"Today history will mark giant changes in our world and lost to most will be that on the same day Miguel Ferrer lost his battle to throat cancer," George commented.
He continued: "But not lost to his family. Miguel made the world brighter and funnier and his passing is felt so deeply in our family that events of the day, (monumental events), pale in comparison."

George went on: "We love you Miguel. We always will," in the announcement obtained by PEOPLE magazine.
The Money Monster actor was among a whole host of famous names who paid tribute to Miguel, including Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost.
He tweeted: "A death in the family: just learned we lost Miguel Ferrer today. Join me pls in sending sympathy to his wife and family.(sic)
"We go back to 1974. Broke in on the same show. Great talent, better man. Working & writing for him a highlight in every part of my life. Too soon, too soon, too soon."
