The couple released a statement via Michael's official Facebook page this afternoon which read: "We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy.
"He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words."
They continued: "We'd like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love."

Their statement comes after Luisana's older sister Daniela posted a tweet last night after an Argentinian journalist claimed he had spoken to her.
"Don’t use my name in the media with information and things that I haven’t said. Noah is doing well and his parents will speak when they want to," she wrote on her Twitter page, which has 36.6k followers.
Earlier that day, Tomas Dente alleged that Daniela had told him: "The cancer has gone," after he contacted her for an update on the three-year-old's condition.
Speaking on a programme called ‘Nosotros a la mañana’ on TV station El Trece, he said: "I’m going to read word for word what Daniela told me because I don’t want to miss out even a comma.
“She tells me, ‘Yes, Noah is recovering and we’re very happy that’s the case. His parents will speak when they want to do so."

“There’s a sentence which I think is wonderful and has to do with the information a colleague of mine had received and I insist there’s no official confirmation because Noah’s parents haven’t spoken but in principle the youngster is on the mend.
“The sentence is, ‘The cancer has gone'," he added.
Michael, 41, and Luisana – who confirmed their son had cancer in a statement posted on Michael’s Facebook page last November – have yet to make any official comment.
Noah is thought to have started four months of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with the disease at the start of November at a clinic in Los Angeles.
Michael pulled out of work commitments including plans to host this year’s BRIT awards after being given the devastating news.
The treatment Noah received was reportedly designed to reduce the size of his tumour before its removal.
Buenos Aires-based Daniela told Argentinan magazine Gente shortly after confirmation by Noah’s parents he had cancer: “If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it’s because he wants to save Noah.
“Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this," she said.
“We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it’s got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior.”
